The Client’s Vision
Some projects define a career. This Ludhiana installation of a 7.2 Dolby cinema-grade home theatre built inside a 750 sq. ft. family living room is one of those projects for Sound Innovators.
The client had a precise and demanding brief: a system powerful enough to recreate the visceral impact of a Hollywood blockbuster, yet refined enough to honour the delicate artistry of classic Hindi film music the compositions of R.D. Burman, the voice of Kishore Kumar, the elegance of a bygone era in Indian cinema.
The challenge was not simply to install great equipment. It was to design a system that could do both with equal authority while preserving the living room’s clean, high-ceilinged aesthetics. No visible projector. No cable clutter. No compromise.

The Speaker System — French Engineering at Its Finest
The acoustic foundation of this installation is the Focal Electra series — engineered and manufactured in Saint-Étienne, France, and among the most respected loudspeaker families in the world.
Focal Electra 1038 Be
The flagship Electra floor-standers anchor the front stage with a wide, dynamic soundstage and authoritative low-end. The Beryllium tweeter-in-tweeter design delivers high-frequency detail that remains composed at any volume — essential for the delicate upper harmonics of classical Indian film music.
Focal Electra CC 1008 Be
Ensures precise dialogue reproduction and seamless front-channel coherence, matching the 1038 Be for a unified, undivided front stage.
Focal Electra SR 1000 Be
Maintains the tonal signature of the Focal Electra family throughout the room, delivering an immersive surround that feels natural, not processed.
Velodyne DD-15+ × 2
A dual-subwoofer configuration ensures even bass distribution across the room. Advanced DSP room correction and high-power amplification reproduce cinematic low-frequency content with control and authority that a single active subwoofer cannot match.

A dual-mono high-current stereo amplifier that gives the Focal 1038 Be speakers the headroom they need to reproduce live orchestral dynamics without compression.
Parasound Halo A52 THX Ultra 2
THX Ultra 2-certified five-channel amplifier ensuring the surround channels match the front stage in dynamics and detail.

4K Projection — Concealed, Cinematic, Effortless
JVC DLA-X75 4K D-ILA
A Japanese-engineered D-ILA projector celebrated for deep blacks, smooth greyscale and faithful colour reproduction — the projection platform of choice for serious home cinema.
Future Automation Projector Lift
The JVC is mounted on a motorised projector lift concealed inside the ceiling cavity. At the touch of a button, it descends silently, powers on, and the cinema experience begins. When not in use, it disappears completely.
Elite Screens 150″ Motorised
A 150-inch motorised screen descends in perfect synchronisation with the projector lift — optically matched and calibrated to the room’s ambient light control.
Home Automation
Crestron — One Touch, Total Control
The entire installation is orchestrated by Crestron home automation. At the touch of a single button on the Crestron touchpad, the following sequence executes automatically:
The Future Automation lift descends, revealing the JVC DLA-X75.
The Elite Screens motorised screen descends from the ceiling in perfect sync.
Room lights dim automatically to the pre-set cinema level.
All curtains draw closed, eliminating ambient light completely.
The Classé SSP-800, amplifiers and OPPO Blu-ray player power on and switch to the correct input automatically.

High-bandwidth shielding ensures stable 4K transmission and bit-perfect audio with minimal jitter.

Conditions the mains supply, reduces electrical noise and protects all components from voltage spikes — delivering a blacker noise floor and improved dynamic contrast.
